Gold Star Manor (GSM) a non-profit supporting Gold Star Mothers, became onoe of my lifesavers. They bridged my housing needs while I awaited my unemployment appeal – a months-long process. GSM was an absolute angel. The grant process was simple, and their office staff guided me effortlessly, providing a glimmer of hope in a sea of anxiety.
Project Understanding is a local community non-profit that supports housing and food insecure residents locally. Their Program Director at the time (who wishes to remain nameless) came up with a brilliant idea of how I could help myself immediately by calling on other local organizations that assist people in my specific housing situation. I implemented her plan immediately — and it worked!
